Bass fishing at the pond

Today I had witnesses. Chris usually does not believe me when I tell him what I catch down at the pond.

Sweet Honeysuckle

There is nothing better that smelling the sweet honeysuckle in the summer breeze.

Grass Carp Overboard

After a gully washer of two inches of rain yesterday, this poor grass carp went over the edge and down the waterfall. When we found him this morning, it was too late.

Haying Season is Open

So Chris works atleast 12 hours a day already. But, you can tell by our little sign here that hay season has arrived.

Cool Spot in the Shade

I love old metal chairs like this one in the shade. Places like this make it nearly impossible to sit back, relax and maybe sip on one of the farms secret recipes....a Sea Breeze.

Sea Breeze:
Ice
Vodka
Cranberry Juice
Grapefruit Juice

Purple Cone Patch

This is the first bloom of the year in the purple cone flower patch. After a few days of weeding, we are expecting a nice plush patch.

Metal Bug

It's a bird.....no a bug. This bug has been made using a recycled coffee pot. Pretty cool!

Fair Bianca Rose

This is a picture of a Fair Bianca. I has the sweetest smell and is light pink in color.

Luigi Moves to Conway

Here is a nice pick of Luigi when he was only 6 months old. Because we had three other females to wean at the same time, Luigi had to move to Conway, MO with the other bulls his age. He is a stout little fella. He weighed 860lbs. when we weaned him!

Ain't Nobody Here But Us Chickens

So let's say that you go to you local farm supply and purchase 13 chicks. You think that you are buying all hens, after all, you are wanting fresh eggs...that is until your hens start to crow.

So little red hen is now...Big red.....on the left.
We also have three barred rock roosters as well.

Tucker and Dixie

Farm Pic 6/5/08
Tucker and Dixie like to scratch a cool spot in the dirt on a hot day. Later they will find a better spot in the air conditioning.

Dad's Snake

Farm Pic 6/4/08

Dad was looking for a wrench on his tool bench at the farm and was a little startled by this black snake. He wrangled him with a golf club just like on the discovery channel. I also learned how to change the blades on a riding lawn mower today. Note: Do not tighten the bolts too tight our you will make the next person to change the blades angry.
